A Simple, Beautiful Event Singer Site Built with Next.js 15

When Yvonne, a professional event singer, needed a web presence that reflected her warmth and elegance, I set out to design something simple, beautiful, and fast — a site that lets her music and personality shine while making it effortless for visitors to explore her repertoire and get in touch.
Design Philosophy

The goal was a clean, balanced layout with clear typography and a harmonious color palette. Parisienne serves as the accent typeface, adding a subtle handwritten elegance to headings, while Linden Hill provides structure and readability through its classic serif form. The combination feels modern without being sterile—distinctive but unobtrusive.
The color palette of pink-400, white, black, and grey-50 offers high contrast with a soft overall tone. Pink acts as an accent to guide attention, while white and grey create visual space and calm. Black provides clarity and definition. The result is a design that's minimal, consistent, and pleasantly light—focused on form, rhythm, and visual hierarchy.
Smart, Modern Stack — Built to Last
The site is powered by Next.js 15 and Tailwind CSS, delivering fast rendering, consistent styling, and smooth navigation across all devices. Deployed on Vercel, it benefits from automatic builds, edge caching, and seamless performance — so it stays fast everywhere.
To keep content dynamic, Yvonne’s repertoire is stored in a Neon Postgres database that connects directly to the frontend. This setup allows her to manage songs herself through Neon’s dashboard — no CMS, no developer intervention, just instant updates visible on the live site.
For communication, EmailJS handles form submissions directly to her inbox, eliminating the need for a backend while keeping user experience frictionless. Every part of the stack was chosen to be lightweight, scalable, and easy to maintain — a system that continues working beautifully long after handover.
Legal, Local & Optimized
Because the site serves a German audience, I included fully compliant Impressum and Datenschutz pages. These details might seem small, but they’re vital for credibility and legal security — and part of why I enjoy creating solutions that go beyond the visual to ensure professional reliability.
I also handled on-page SEO, refining meta tags, headings, and content hierarchy, while optimizing performance for Core Web Vitals. The improvements were immediately measurable: better visibility, faster load times, and higher rankings. It’s the combination of design, structure, and precision that turns a simple site into a discoverable one.
Dynamic Repertoire Management

The live repertoire integrates directly with the Neon database, ensuring visitors always see the latest setlist. Updates made through Neon’s dashboard sync instantly to the frontend, keeping the content fresh without requiring any developer input. It’s a lean and transparent system — one that empowers the client while staying technically robust.
Outcome
The finished product is a small, elegant, and self-sustaining website that perfectly represents Yvonne’s style — modern, approachable, and built to last. It highlights her artistry, streamlines her bookings, and gives her full control over her content, all within a clean and timeless design.
It’s a project that shows how thoughtful design and smart engineering can come together to create something that simply works — beautifully.
